G3-PLC Module
The AetherLink G3-PLC Module provides a power-line communications path between compatible smart meters and gateways over the low-voltage network. It is powered directly by the host meter and uses a microcontroller for communications control. Automatic recovery support helps to re-establish communication after network disturbances when operating conditions permit. The module is intended for projects that specify G3-PLC access networking. The applicable PLC profile, coupling arrangement, host interface and gateway implementation must be agreed for the delivered configuration.

PLC profile and gateway
- Agree the G3-PLC profile and operating band, then validate communication with the intended gateway.
Host interface and supply
- Confirm the connector, pin assignment, supply limits, firmware and coupling arrangement for the selected meter.
Network conditions
- Assess the intended low-voltage network and the recovery requirements. Fault withstand, surge limits and environmental limits require separate configuration-specific ratings.
